Request account and data deletion
Account Deletion Request
We're sorry to see you go. If you would like to delete your EDScan account and all associated data, please follow the instructions below.
Please note: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data, including saved products and scan history, will be permanently removed.
What Data Will Be Deleted
When you request account deletion, we will permanently remove:
- Your account profile and email address
- All saved products and ingredient lists
- Scan usage history and counts
- Subscription information (Note: Active subscriptions should be cancelled through Google Play first)
- Any other data associated with your account
How to Request Deletion
Option 1: In-App Request
Open the EDScan app, go to your Profile, and tap the "Delete Account" button.
Option 2: Email Request
Send an email to us with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your EDScan account.
Request Account Deletion via EmailProcessing Time
Account deletion requests are typically processed within 7 business days. You will receive a confirmation email once your account and data have been deleted.
Before You Delete
- Cancel your subscription: If you have an active subscription, please cancel it through the Google Play Store before requesting deletion to avoid future charges.
- Export your data: If you want to keep a record of your saved products, please note them down before requesting deletion.
